Here at Sarec’s Cattery, we know that a cat/kitten may be more than just a pet. For those in need of an Emotional Support Animal (ESA), it’s a companion necessary for mental health and overall emotional wellbeing.
That is why we created our ESA Program – where we help adopters looking for an ESA find the perfect cat/kitten according to their medical health professional's prescription.
We’ve had the great fortune of placing some of our cats/kittens as an ESA and can attest to how finding the perfect match has not only enriched the adopter’s life, but given added purpose to our cattery.

Details on our Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Program
Just as no cat/kitten is the same, no person seeking an ESA is the same. Your needs are your own, and at Sarec’s Cattery we appreciate and respect that. We promise all contact and conversations regarding your individual needs will be held confidential and utilized only for the purpose of finding your perfect feline companion.
Our ESA program will often look different for each ESA adopter due to each individual’s specific needs, but the program starts the same way for everyone – us learning more about you so we can help in the selection of your ESA companion.
Once the cat/kitten has been selected, that’s when we get to work here at the cattery! We work on exposing them to as many experiences as possible that are relevant to you and your needs to ensure a seamless transition into your home and heart.
These experiences are often quite varied and could be anything from getting the cat/kitten comfortable around a wheelchair or walker, or maybe it’s getting them used to being walked on a harness? Or perhaps it’s spending extra grooming time with them so it becomes one of their favorite activities? The experiences and opportunities we would provide your ESA before they are placed with you is completely tailored to you and is why we’re so proud of our ESA program and what it provides to the adopter.
